Alexis's Nursery

My nursery is finished!!! I am SO excited!! Thank you to everyone that helped me get there!! My mom made all the crib bedding, chair cushions, changing pad cover, revised my bassinet, blankets, and car seat cover! I always say she can just do anything but forget how much work it really takes. She did awesome and I love all my stuff!! We redid our crib that we bought for cheap off KSL, and were very lucky to get a dresser from my in laws that we redid, and a rocking chair from my mom that we redid. So we really lucked out on furniture!! Because of our great parents donations we were able to get all the extras and make this nursery perfect! Me and Jaron painted. My dad and Grandpa put up the chair rail for us. And the other day my sister in law came over and helped me get the decals on the wall and finish hanging all the last things! So this room really did take a lot effort from lots of my family! Thanks a ton! (The only thing I have left to add is the chandlier chain cover.) This little girl is already spoiled to death!! Just look at her closet full of clothes already! We also have been very very lucky for the gifts from our parents!! (One of the only perks of having divorced parents!) My mom, sisters, and sister in laws got me my Pack in Play! The one we originally picked out was sold out so we went for my second choice. It's so cute and has every feature imaginable! The bed vibrates, it plays 5 songs, 5 nature sounds, night light, has a bassinet, removable changing table, and I think a few more things that I can't think of. I love playing with it and can't wait for her to use it! My Dad and step Mom got me a swing! I haven't seen it yet but I can't wait to play with it!! And my in laws helped us get our travel system stroller/car seat. This is what I looked into the most!! I read reviews for months, we went to stores and would jog up and down the isles to make our decision. I wanted a jogging one so I can use it to get my baby weight off and be able to take it out for normal stuff too. So to get everything in one was so exciting! I can't wait to go for a good jog with it! I just wanted to show off all the cool things Alexis has and to make sure I Thanked everyone that made it possible!

My Goodbye to the Puppy

This little guy left on Wednesday. I got VERY attached to him!! Because he was the last one left he was with us all the time. I really wanted my mom to get him like I begged her because I didn't want to let him go. She's just not ready for a dog yet. Maybe next liter... But because I'm a hormonal mess it was quite funny for how attached I got to this little guy. He was taking my baby void away. We kept trying to name him because he started to answer to puppy. We called him Rambo for a day because he was tiny! Then I decided that was dumb and called him Tiger to be funny. We always had people interested in him but we wouldn't lower the price because he was such the perfect little thing. But all of a sudden we had 4 phone calls and 5 emails about him in a 24 hour period. The first person that called through me off because I wasn't ready for him to leave me. So me being the pregnant hormonal girl I started bawling and went to Jaron. Well he wonders why I'm hysterical and thinks someone died. Then he finds out it was the dog and gets mad at me because I was freaking out so bad. So that upsets me even more. I bawled for a hour straight and on and off the rest of the night. I couldn't look at the dog or anything because I was so heart broken. It is really stupid and I make fun of myself so go ahead and laugh too! I knew the whole time I couldn't keep the dog so it was crazy how I was acting. The rest of the puppies went to people we knew so it made it so much easier! But I am now puppy free! These were such good puppies I didn't have much mess to clean up. Harley and Roxy are so happy to have them gone! They are back to themselves.

Jaron's new Toy

Jaron got his new toy yesterday! I'm so happy for him! He got another Raptor 700 but with more stuff done to it and it's fuel injected so it's suppose to do better in the mountains than our last one. I wonder if it really does or he just tells me that because I wanted a mountain machine instead. He sold his other Raptor 1 1/2 years ago when times got tough . It was a very sad day!! Jaron had a hard time not having it last summer. He works so hard and gives up a lot for our family! So he totally deserves it! We wanted to make sure he got it before Alexis came because that little girl is going to be a spoiled one! We know all our money will go to her now and we're ok with that! If you have a 4 wheeler don't be surprised if Jaron calls everyday to go

Almost there

I am about 37 weeks!! Hallelujah! I went to the Dr. on Friday and got the fun check up that everyone loves... Well I'm dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced. So the 2 is not to exciting because I could stay that way for another month but the 80% was something to get my hopes up! I know I shouldn't have my hopes up but I totally do! The last week I have been having more contractions mostly braxton hicks though. Nothing that I can't get rid of after laying down so there not for real. I told everyone I was going to have her at 37 weeks so maybe my mind set really has payed off. haha Jaron leaves to England on Saturday the 27th for 9 days. It would probably take him at least 13 hours to get home if I call him in the middle of the week and say get here now! Most people have thought we were crazy to have him go the whole time with it being so close to my due date. Well what you need to realize is how big of a week it is! Like a lot of money. With having a brand new baby and Dr. bills it would be great to be able to have the extra money. So we are really hoping he will be able to go. For that to be possible Alexis needs to come Monday or Tuesday or wait until March 8th. Children are not convent like that. But we both agree that money is not worth him missing his daughters birth. We are going to see how this weeks goes and what my Dr. says at the visit this week and then decide. So if you have a kid tell me what you did to get yourself dilated. I haven't tried anything crazy yet because I wanted to wait until I hit the official 37 weeks. I am even more uncomfortable being pregnant and retaining tons of water but I'm much more ok with it than I was the last few weeks. I loved loved to complain the last 5 weeks because I'm a onry mess. My 35th week I bawled and had nervous break downs almost everyday. Over what I don't know. I was just a emotional mess. Jaron didn't know what to do with me. I was also so mean to him but he has been so good to me and hasn't been mean back or gotten frustrated with me. His selective hearing has just gotten better. lol But now that I'm getting closer I am more ok with all the annoying pregnancy pains and everything that goes along with is because I know she will be here any day or week. I keep annoying my family to death because every time I get a real contraction I have to call them but then I never get more or have them consistent. All I can think of is this baby! It's crazy! I dream about her and wake up in the middle of the night, on my pee breaks, and just stare at her bassinet and just think soon I'll be waking up to a little cry in there. Crazy I'm excited for that. In a few weeks I'll be like what was I thinking! lol We are finishing up the last of the baby stuff finally! I'm almost there! YEAH!!

My Dyson

I finally gave in and got a Dyson. I have been doing my research and debating for the last few weeks on what vacuum to get. Thanks for all the input on my earlier post. Well I didn't want to spend all the money to get a Dyson. Jaron told me for Valentines day to just get whatever one I wanted. I think I was driving him nuts because I couldn't decide. Super romantic present, but it's all good because it is a kick ass vacuum. I was going to get the refurbished one but this week I was lucky enough to find them on sale. Woo Hoo! Can't beat that so I got the DC 25 with the 5 year warranty. No more buying a new vacuum every year! I used it for the first time today. It was grose to see how dirty my carpets were that I never would've got from my other vacuum. I've only used it for a day but I'm in love with it! I highly recommend it!!

PUPPIES 6 weeks

Roxy's puppies are 6 weeks old. They have gotten so big but really they are her smallest liter she has had. By now they are very mobile and all over the place! These 4 little ones are still quite small and very calm. (Well for puppies) We only have 1 active little girl. She is the brains of the liter. We keep them in a baby pool to keep them out of everything and she is the only one that ventures out into the unknown laundry room. But she gets upset she can't get back in with the rest of them. She was sold for the last week and a half and we just found out yesterday the person that was going to come get her today couldn't get her. So we are now looking for a home for her and the runt as well. Our runt is adorable!! He still fits in the palm of my hand! I am in love with this little guy. I would keep him if I wasn't due in a few weeks. I don't think it's fair to the dog because he would get so much attention the next 4 weeks and then a new baby would take over his place. I just wouldn't have the time to train and give him what he needs. If you or anyone you know wants these darling little puppies let me know!! I am worried if they don't find a home within the next 2 weeks they'll get attached to us and we will to them and that will just make the whole process of them leaving so much harder. We have our Caly that is super cute, sweet and shy! My friend Hydee is giving her a great home next week! And then we have our other little guy which is going to a guy Jaron works with. His ears stand straight up and has the funniest personality! Please contact me if you want to give these dogs a great home!! AKC certified pure breed Yorkshire Terrier, tails docked, dew claws removed, and first set of shots given.

35 weeks

So I'm 35 weeks, and 1 day, but who's really counting... I can not wait to have this baby! I complain a lot! And when I say a lot I really mean it. I have this special gift for complaining! I really don't have any unusual pregnancy or a hard one. It's pretty normal so I don't have anything extra to complain about it. I just do. So sorry for all that always have to listen to me!

I figure if I go 2 more weeks it would be perfect! It would be the week before Jaron goes to England so we don't have to worry the whole time he is there and I will be 37 weeks so the baby should be big and strong enough to come. Wish me luck on this because I'm going to need it! I'm pretty sure I won't go early though. My blood pressure was pretty high for a while and had some crazy braxton hicks a few weeks ago so the Dr. said there was a chance. But my bp went down and braxton hicks are quite normal now. So all hope of going early are gone. Which I should be happy because that means Lexi is probably a healthy little bug! But on my negative note: I am done with all the aches and pains, I feel like someone took me out back and just beat me up most days, I'm done with peeing every 2 seconds, I'm done with looking like a mammoth whale, swelling up like a balloon (I would like to see my ankle bones again), and the worst of all I'm starting to get stretch marks! AGH! Scary! So yes like I said normal stuff to complain about but I'm sick of it.

I'm defiantly ready to be a mom and the non sleep nights. I already am getting up all the time to pee but I have weird sleeping schedules. Like the other night I woke up at 3am and was wide awake. I read for a while, went and hung some shelves in the nursery, played with the puppies and finally went back to sleep at 6. Harley was like what are we doing up?! He's not going to love this baby at first.

I have been trying to not take advantage of the last few weeks of not being parent but it is hard! I've been trying to get some books read, finish the baby stuff I have been working on, and take naps. Me and Jaron thought about going on a last minute trip but couldn't decide where to go with the weather conditions everywhere and going somewhere with a beach is not good because no one wants to see me in a bikini right now. So we decided that was out. If you have any good ideas of what to do before coming a parent I would love the input!!!

I go to the Dr. Friday and hopefully I hear awesome news that I'm dilated to a 4 and 90% effaced! ha ha (Enjoy the pictures I don't really plan on posting anymore of me until the baby comes).

Super Bowl

Yeah my team totally won! Yes, I am really not that into football. The way I choose who is going to win the game is by what they are wearing. If I had it my way I would have the Chicago Bears win the Super Bowl. lol I hear they are not very good. But I really like the uniforms and colors. I chose the Saints to win due to there colors of course, they have the juicy symbol on there helmets, and it is Kim Kardashians bf team. Very educated guessing. I was told they were the under dogs so I didn't expect them to win. But 'I actually did watch some of the game this year and it was a really good game. We went to our friends house to watch the game. It was a ton of fun! There was super yummy food!! I'm pretty sure I was eating the whole time! What can I say Lexi was hungry... Over all great game, great friends, and great food can't ask for anything better!

Alexis's baby shower!

I had mine and Alexis's baby shower on Saturday! It was awesome!! I am so lucky to have such great family and friends! I had family come from Vernal, Idaho, St. George, and Las Vegas. I felt special to know that people would come that far to come!! Alexis is spoiled rotten already!! We only have to get a few more big things and that's it! I'm so lucky to be done all shopping. She has so many clothes for the first 3 months of life! The food was amazing!! My mother in law and sister in laws did a awesome job!! Huge Thanks to them! Thank you all for who came! Look how spoiled we were! It was better than Christmas!! Also Roxy would like to thank everyone for the new toys. She thinks they are hers. I keep taking them away but she just doesn't get it.

Vacuums

I am shopping for a new vacuum! It's about time! I am looking for everyones input on what kind to get. Of course I would love a Dyson but I am much to cheap for that. I am just looking for a vacuum that will do the following: work, suck up the stuff my dogs after my dogs come in from outside and roll around on it, and the hose that works with detachable parts. My dogs do not shed. I shed worse than they do. I have the worst luck with vacuums!! Sense I have been married in the 4 1/2 years I have owned: 2 Dirt Devil, Bissel, and a G&E. That is a lot of different vacuums! Especially sense I am not a clean freak and use it every day. So please tell me what you have had and liked or disliked! I am in need of some great suggestions! Thanks!!

Car Expo

Jaron, me and some friends went to the Car Expo Center this weekend. I really like going and seeing all the cars you will never have! I always say I will own this exact car in about 10 years because that's when I could afford it. ha We are also trying to sale our car so it is fun to look at cars for when we do sale it.

I really like the Buick Enclave. I feel really old for wanting a Buick!

A Continental Bentley is my dream car! I keep saying I want this as my midlife crisis car but I doubt it sense it costs more than my house!

I am really hoping to get the Infiniti FX45 when our car sales. We'll see though!
