Pride

On Sunday Jaron, Alexis, and I went to celebrate Gay Pride. We went to the parade. It was fun to see what it was all about. Alexis didn't like the super loud noises that would come down the road like the cool rappers and sirens. It was her first parade experience. After the parade we had to go on a adventure to find a superstore to get a big girl stroller. Jaron put our stroller in the trunk but had to take the wheels off to get it to fit in the trunk and somehow left one of the wheels at home. So she will need this stroller eventually but we probably won't use it a ton yet. Because we now own 3 different types. That's just crazy! Anyways after getting it we went back to the festivities. It was so hot. Auntie M (Marcie) loved pushin Alexis every where. We ran into some of our friends and hung out with them and watched the drag queens. The Pink drag queen was my favorite. She was a great lip singer! We ate some yummy food and went home. We were all pooped after the long day!

Life

Don't take life for granite! Don't take the people in it for granite! Around this time every year I like to take a step back and thank God for Life and everything in it! My life was almost taken away from 4 years ago in a ATV accident on June 3rd. I will not bore anyone with details because we have all heard the story a million and half times!! I just like to voice that how important life is and how I love every minute of it. Good and bad!! I love everyone it! Thank you for being apart of it!! I just want everyone to take a step back and realize what they have and how lucky they are! No matter what there situation is there is good in everything! Be thankful for that! Yes super cheesy blog but everyone needs one of these once in a while!

Relay for Life

Me and my Lexi poo love our walks!! I have loved the weather finally being nice again!! I was having issues with my stroller tire and the weather was hating me for a few weeks but they have both decided to cooperate!! I am wanting to jog but I will work into it slowly. I am going to do a relay 5k with one of my friends in September. I was so excited when she told me about it! It is small enough that and far enough away that I can train and be ready for. I really want to get into doing cancer walks and runs. So I need to get my butt in gear and in shape for them!



Which gets me into my next subject. I am wanting to get involved with Relay for Life walks. Basically what it is I need 8 people at least on a team and they get people to donate money for how much you will walk. You have to find your own donations. I am basically needing 7 more people. I don't mind going around to local business to find the donations and doing all the paper work. I just need you to show up and walk with me. If you are interested in anything like this please let me know and I will tell you more about this. There are all different dates for in towns all summer long. Also there is something similar to this but a little different it is for Breast Cancer and a walk for that in October that I am wanting to do. If you are also interested in that let me know. I know every ones lives are so busy and crazy but all I'm asking is for one day to come help out for a great cause!! Thanks for your support!!

Butterflies and Sunshine

We took Alexis hot tubing last week when it snowed. I'm sure I will get all the negative comments about this, but just keep them to yourself. She loved it. We dropped the temp to 99 degrees and didn't put her in to much. She loved the bubbles!!!

Alexis loves bath time!! It is her favorite time of the day!! She loves to play in the bath tub!! She will just kick and kick in the water!! She hates when it is time to get out.

I feel so selfish because I'm usually the only one that gets to see my happy little girl during the day! She is so happy all day! At night time she is cranky and that is when we see people. So if you see us at night we really do have a happy baby most of the day! I have pictures to prove it! lol

My sister made Alexis dress and hair thing! She also made her girls some too. They are so cute! They are great dresses and when they get older she can wear it as a shirt. She sales them on Etsy if you are wanting them!!

I had to through this picture in here because her head band is always doing this and I didn't realize it. It was sad but kind of funny.

Birth Announcement

I forgot to post this a while back. But for those of you that didn't get to see Alexis's birth announcement here you go!

My week

So if you weren't aware last week was "Michelle Week" if you forgot to celebrate I'm sorry your loss! Maybe next year! It was a pretty good week! Mothers Day was kind of crazy like every year running all around seeing everyone and Lexi decided to be ornery all day. But it was great to see all the family! Monday was my Birthday. I am very old now! CRAZY! 25 is half to 50 it is so old!!! It's not really old but I'm not considered young anymore. I'm defiantly an adult especially sense I have a child now. I went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch! I love that place! And for dinner we had friends over and Jaron made a super yummy dinner! On Tuesday we went to dinner with Jaron's family and my Mom and Robb at Los Hermonos. I have to go there every year s I can get their fried ice cream. To die for!! The rest of week was chillaxin with my two favorite people Alexis and Jaron. We planted some flowers, watched some movies, and slept a lot. I got a sewing machine. Now I can be a really cool home maker with it!! I've never sewn with out my mom telling me what to do so I'm nervous to do it with out her so hopefully I can! But anyways Michelle week was a success! Can't wait for it to come again next year!

I am so ready for cars in space. When are they coming? You know like the Jettisons. It would be great no more road construction. That would be wonderful!! I am getting sick of it. I can't go anywhere with out being in it. It will almost be done by my house the new Pioneer Crossing but then they are working on the freeway clear to SF so every time I go see my parents for the next two years there will be major delays. So yes cars in space would be wonderful!! No pollution either! See it's solving 2 problems! I'm a genius! Who's in with me on trying to get this done?! lol

Alexis will have a lot of friends to play with when she gets older! There are so many of my friends that have babies around the same time. The other day I was getting my hair done by my friend Sydni which she has a 6 month old, Ella, and another girl came over with her baby, Lily, that is just 2 days older than Alexis. We got some pictures of them! It was really funny Alexis kept falling over on Ella. Ella loves babies and kept trying to grab Alexis. And Lily wasn't to happy for a minute.

2 Months

Alexis is 2 months old today! Crazy how fast the time goes! She is talking to us more and more. It is fun! Her favorite thing to do is sit in her bouncer and kick and kick and kick. She does it for hours through out the day. She has rolled over from her stomach to her back 3 times now. She can't really do it, I'm sure it is just a coincidence thing that happened. She is fussy at night. But what I've read it will start to slowly get better from now on. So I can't wait. We go to the Dr. for shots tomorrow :( Wish her luck!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there! I have always tried to get a present on mothers day because of my dogs. No one was ever falling for it. But now that I have my sweet baby girl I know the difference for sure!! Being a mother is the best thing I have ever done in my life! I love being a mom! I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

I am so thankful for my wonderful mother!! I have always loved her and appreciated her but now that I understand what it is to be a mom I have so much more love and respect for my own mother! She is so great to me! She is my one of my best friends!! I call her a million times a day just to say nothing and she is always ready to listen.

I am so thankful for my mother in law! She not only let me marry her son, but she has made me apart of the family. She is wonderful! She is always willing to help out whenever we need it! She is my second mom! I love her to death!

And I'm so lucky to be blessed with another mom, my step mom Polly! She is so good to me! I've learned so much from her. She is always willing to drop anything and help when I ask. She is so great for my dad too and I'm so happy they found each other! I am so blessed for my 3 wonderful moms!! They play such an important part in my life!! Love you Mom, Lori, and Polly!

MICHELLE WEEK!

Welcome to MICHELLE WEEK!! Yep I have declared it a holiday week dedicated to me! Now that I am officially a mom I have Mothers Day and my birthday is always the same week as Mothers Day as well. So instead of having 2 days in the week that are mine I have decided that the whole week is just mine! Yeah! So start celebrating! I am!

Skinny Jeans

So I just have to put it out there. Fat people shouldn't wear skinny jeans. I'm not being rude I'm being honest. If your not a smaller size don't do it. It just makes you look bigger than you really are. These people should wear pants that flatter them more. I am including myself in this band of skinny jeans as well. I know I am such a fashion diva and everyone should listen to me... lol

Smile

I was trying to get her to goo at the camera today. She wasn't really cooperative but we got a lot of cute smiles out of her! She loves being talked to! It's so fun that she is responding back now! It's makes life when Jaron gone a lot more fun! I always have someone to hang out with and talk to! She doesn't mind it either, I don't think!

TV

Alexis loves watching TV. She will only watch TV laying on the blanket and looking up. If I move her so she can see it normally she gets mad. It's so funny. She watched the whole episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey with me.

7 weeks

Alexis is 7 weeks old today! Weird how fast it has all gone!! She is getting big! The ways I hold her are starting to change because she getting so long. She has chunked up a little but not a ton. For the most part she is such a happy baby! She doesn't have colic every night anymore which I love. She rolled over on her own the other day! I had been video recording her and as soon as I stopped she did it. I tried to get her to do again but she couldn't. So I'm sure it was just one of those coincidence things.

She is starting to hate the bottle!! I giver her one once a day and she started hating it. But I didn't give in. So most of the time she is ok with it now. But she doesn't like anyone else feeding her besides me. It isn't a good thing sense I'm going to weening her. I feel like such a bad mom for doing it so soon! I was totally against the breast feeding thing until I had her. Sense her heart rate dropped and we weren't sure if she would have any other problems I didn't even think twice about trying it. Then decided it's not weird like I thought it was. And now that I'm thinking about stopping I feel so guilty!! I had thought about quiting so I can diet more but thought that can wait a few months. It's worth it to her. But I am getting such bad migraines all the time with nausea and I can't take my medicine for it until I stop nursing. So I think I'm going to stop. So yes you can call me selfish and bad mom because I feel that way!

I went to my 6 week check up the other day and tried to get a IUD. They wouldn't give it to me because I had a balance. I had already approved it through my insurance and they would pay for it in full. But they wouldn't because I owe money. They were such jerks about it too. Our insurance detectable changed to $2500 more than it was last year (and we hadn't planned on that) and I had to get a C-Section and that's a $1000 more so I have only paid half of it off. So I told them I would just go somewhere else and so I am. As much as I love my little girl I'm not ready for another one yet! Anyways that's my complaint of the week.

I finally tried my first Zumba class. I've been dieing to know what it is. I loved it! It is such a fun class! I suggest everyone try it!!

Alexis loves being talked to! She is starting goo back at us! It is so fun!! Whenever I tell her she is a pretty girl she smiles back at me! It's like she's telling us she knows she is!

Alexis loves her binky! Some people say don't let your kids have them. And I am not one of those people! I think it is a life saver, especially on our colic nights! Well last night she had lost her binky and instead of crying about it she found her thumb! Now this is such a bad habit that I don't support. Because it's cute now but not when they get older! And you can't take there thumb away where you can there binky. So I took the picture because it was so cute! Then hurry and replaced it with the binky. I painted Alexis toes yesterday! She woke up while I was doing it so I didn't get to put a second coat on yet. I'm waiting to paint her finger nails because she always is trying to eat her hands.

We got a sling that was recalled and we finally went and exchanged it. Lexi loves it! She loves looking and around so we just walk around with her in and we can get things done. Don't worry she can still breath and is not suffocating. She's just a little short still for. She sucks on it so by the time we get her out it's drooled all over.

Jumper/Walker

We got Lexi a Jumper/Walker. I know it's way to early for it. But we found a great deal on KSL and thought we might as well get it now. We put her in it every once in a while and play with her in it. She loves it!! She can't reach the toys yet so I show her what they do and she just smiles and smiles. She's to freakin cute!!

Shopping Day

Last week I went to the Women's Expo and the mall with my mom and Alexis. It was a ton of fun!! Alexis is such a good shopper! She slept the whole time at the expo. Then at mall we just held her and she loved it. She just wanted to look at everything! I found the best shopping partner! I'm sure she also doesn't mind because I only buy her stuff.

Update on Life

If you haven't noticed I'm pretty obsessed with my baby!! She is the best thing in the world! I love being a mom!! Her colic is getting a little better! Thank you for all the helpful advice. She loves Gripe Water, and we're starting to do the massages to release the gas that really work. While Jaron is a way for work I send him about a million pictures of her. We never get sick of taking them so that is why we share them with everyone we don't care if you get sick of them. lol Alexis is growing a ton! She is getting longer and feeling out just a little bit more. She is starting to turn into a Mommy's girl and just wants me. I can't complain about that to much. She is responding back to us now and following us. It is so fun to have her smile back at us! She is barely starting to try and talk to us. She gets a few noises out here and there. They are so fun! Jaron isn't work as much as he was while I was pregnant, which is so nice! He hates leaving his little potato bug! It's very hard on us all. I'm attempting to get off the baby weight. It's coming but slower than I would like. Me and Alexis have enjoyed this great weather and love walk/jogs. Other than being a mommy I don't do much! Some crazy things that have happened in my family is my step dad had a heart attack on Saturday. My mom kept worrying he would. It was a very scary thing!! He had to get 3 stents put in. He is doing better now and is back home and we're happy for that. Alexis was worried about her Poppa Robb I'm sure! We're glad he's doing better! He's to young at 53 to have these kind of health problems! That is about all that is happening here!
