Lately

I am horrible at blogging anymore! Isn't that how I always start out? I haven't really been in the mood lately for blogging. I usually just blog about all the fun things we do and about how cute Alexis is but here are a few things that have been going on in the Laird home. Jaron has had 2 uncles die this summer. It has been very sad and very hard on him and his family! I can not keep my dogs a way from each other when ever I think Roxy is in heat I separate them and then a month later I catch them humping each other. So yep I guess I'm running a puppy mill. I didn't even mean too. I don't know when to expect puppies but I think we'll be having them in Octoberish? We plan to get Roxy fixed after this. That poor dog. Jaron had a lot of unexpected time off which was wonderful to be able to spend time with him but not good for other reasons. He is now back working and me and Lexi miss him so much! I really wish he could get a job and be home every night!! Maybe someday... But I have now been looking for a job. I do work for my mother in laws adoption agency still. But I am needing something more. I have looked at every online thing out there possible. I really don't want to put Alexis in daycare. It makes me sick thinking about it. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with day care or that it is wrong I actually saw on Dr. Phil that kids in day care develop faster. I am just a crazy lunatic mom that hates leaving her child. So if any of you know of any great options let me know!

Well as for my cute baby she will be 6 months in a week! Crazy! She can kind of roll over. Not great and not all the time. She is getting sturdy enough to almost be able to sit on her own but she still can't sit on her own. I think she may walk before that happens lol. She is the best little stander! She loves it! If you hold her hands she'll pick up her feet and kind of take steps. She loves her food! She eats SO MUCH!! She eats 9 oz at a time every 2-3 hours. She has been eating food the last month and loves her sweat potato's, bananas, and apple sauce. Her Grammie Lori got her this cool net thing that you put fruit in and she can suck the juice out of. She LOVES it! She loves pineapple in it. (I know she's not quite 6 months but I figure 2 weeks early wasn't going to hurt) She loves to growl and squeal! She has broken one tooth on the bottom I think it's her eye tooth, but I'm not sure. She must be a little vampire baby. lol Her favorite show of course is still Mickey Mouse Club House and she is starting to like Sesame Street. She hates Handy Many it's so funny whenever it comes on she screams at the TV! She lover her toys and grabbing thing she isn't suppose to like knives off the table when your holding her. She really is such a great baby!! Whenever I say she is cranky or anything that means she cried that day and wanted me to hold her a lot. I couldn't ask for a better baby! She can always make me smile no matter what! I'm so glad I have this little girl!

Idaho

I went to Idaho earlier this week to see my sister and her kids. I drove up with my other sister and my mom. It was nice to get away and with Jaron going back to work it made it easier for him to go. It was just a short trip up and back. We were able to play with the kids a lot. We went to the Boise Discovery Center. It was really cool! It was kind of like a big science fair. I was not smart enough for it. I was like wow what's that... lol My nieces and nephews love it there. They will be able to explain it all to me soon. My sister took pictures of Alexis in her blessing dress. So stay tune for those soon! My nieces and nephews loved to give Alexis attention. They have another cousin named Sophie and kept getting the name mixed up but she didn't care she was just happy to have someone play with her. We left Wednesday morning and stopped by my grandparents on the way home. It was my grandpa's birthday and we surprised him by showing up. They hadn't met Alexis yet. He loves babies it was fun to see him with her! It was nice to see them! It was a fun short trip!! I wish my sister lived closer so I could see her more!

July

While we were boating Jaron hit his head on a speaker on the wake board tower. He said it just kind of hurt and didn't think much of it. He brushed his hand on it and then saw there was a bug on his arm and went to smack it and killed it. Well there was blood all over. All of us were like oh wow that bug was super bloody. Then his head just starts running down blood. It was pretty deep. It took a few hours before we got him into the ER to get him stitches. They gave him 6 stitches. We took them out a few days ago but it isn't healing well. I don't think we saved the skin. It is a big scab now. Yummy huh.

We finally set up Alexis's pool. She loves the bath tub but is not a big fan of cold water yet. So I let the water sit in pool for a while hoping it would warm up in the heat. It did a little but not a ton. Because it was so hot the flowers on top of the pool wouldn't stand up. The heat would just suck the air right out of it. We started with Alexis feet and that went well. Then we went for sitting in it and she did well with that. But as for laying down in it she wasn't having it!

Alexis has been eating rice cereal now and a little food here and there. She is always hunger! like every hour or 2 so that is why we decided to start food now. We have only tried a little bit. She doesn't love it yet. At first we had to trick her with her by putting the food on her binky but now she will eat it off her spoon. I love watching her faces when she tries new foods!!

Alexis loves our phones! So sorry if you get a call from us accidently.

Jaron went golfing with my step brother and step dad. So me and Lexi got to hang out with my mom and her new aunt Kim! We had a yummy BBQ and played games. It was a ton of fun to hang out with the family. We don't get to see Kyle and Kim much so it was good to see them! Alexis has been loving her feet lately!! While we were shopping for food she was trying to eat them.

On the 24th of July we went and watched fireworks at Mapleton. It was a great show. We defiantly go watch them there again! Alexis loved them!! It was so special to watch her watch them! She was so amazed by them! I never knew fireworks could be so much more fun with a baby!

Jeeping up Payson Canyon

We took Jaron's little sisters and Alexis for a jeep ride up Payson canyon last week. Alexis wasn't the biggest fan of the jeep at first but then fell asleep and was fin with it. The girls had so much fun taking turns sitting up front and sticking there legs and arms out the door. (The top and doors were off.) We went up to Payson Lakes and had lunch. Then the girls jumped off the bridge. It was so fun to watch them! Usually Alyssa will chicken out on stuff but Addison was and it would take her a extra minute to jump. They are getting so old it's crazy!! We love hanging out with them!!

We had them spend the night at our house that night. They didn't have there pj's so they slept in some of Jaron's shirts and he had them pick which one. We laughed at Alyssa's shirt and she would be like why what is so funny? She didn't get it. They love spending the night so they can hot tub and play with Lexi. They are so cute with her! Every time she sneezes or anything they get all excited, it's funny. Love those girls!!

Park

We took Alexis to the park that is about a half a block a way from our house. She was so thrilled about it. lol Ok so she really likes grass we found it. She loved playing in it. As for the swing and the slide she was like whatever I don't care. We had so much fun playing with her!!

We tried food for the first time. She was to into the food but loved to play with spoon!!

Later that day we and had smores over in our friends backyard. They have a gas fire pit so you don't even smell like campfire afterwards. Alexis did her monkey sit for the first time. Hopefully soon she will start sitting more.
